Its Hockey Time

Ok, it isn't really. Well, not for the National Hockey League. Both the players and the owners seemed to have forgotten something vital: the fans. Who is it ultimately who pays the players wages? the fans. Who is it that make a club worth owning? the fans. The fans are the real losers in this situation.

What should the fans do now? Stop buying NHL licensed merchandise immediately. Don't buy season tickets to any NHL team next year. Make sure the arena is empty for the first game or two of the next season. Start supporting your local non-NHL hockey teams. Remind the players and the owners who all this is really for.

Will it happen? Can the fans get together and demonstrate their displeasure at what has happened? Stranger things have happened but I'm not holding my breath.
