Help with phone bank, potential evacuee sheltering and care.

Best Friends Animal Sanctuary
Help with caring for displaced animals. Local and national supplies and opportunities to help are available.

Local Volunteer Opportunities

Many opportunities exist statewide to help with local issues. To locate your nearest Volunteer
Center, contact 2-1-1 or go to www.volunteers.utah.gov.

Local Donation Opportunities

The following organizations need support year-round.  Donations to these organizations will help Utahns year round as well as provide support for evacuees here in Utah.

Utah Food Bank (801-908-8660)
Donate non-perishable food products, baby food, diapers, and hygiene products to be used for evacuees, shipment or local needs.
Drop off at 1025 South 700 West, Salt Lake City, any Harmon's Grocery Store, or any local food pantry (for local needs) – call 2-1-1 for local donations.

Salvation Army (801-988-4204)
Donate clothing and household supplies to thrift shop for evacuees, shipment, or local needs.
Drop off at 3944 West 3500 South, Salt Lake City

Crossroads Urban Center Thrift Store (801-359-8837)
Donate clothing and household supplies to thrift shop for evacuees or local needs.
Drop off at 1385 West Indiana Avenue (850 South), Salt Lake City

Deseret Industries
Donate clothing and household supplies to thrift shop for evacuees, shipment, or local needs.
Drop off at any store – call 2-1-1 for nearest locations.

LDS Humanitarian Center
Collect & assemble hygiene kits to be used locally or nationally. See www.providentliving.org for instructions; drop off completed kits at 1665 Bennett Road (2030 West), Salt Lake City

Division of Housing
Coordinating offers for housing units and vacant apartments. (VERY limited need.) Contact Richard Walker at 801-652-2459

Department of Heath
Coordinating local use of trained volunteer medical personnel. Contact main department of health 1-866-873-2437
